Ross Golf Course – March Update

I hope you all have been enjoying the lovely weather and managed to get a couple rounds of golf in. We are delighted to share with you, all of the news over the past month.

A big welcome to our golf pro, Gordon.

A huge welcome to our new golf pro – Gordon Howard. We are thrilled that he has joined the Ross Golf family. Gordon will be supporting members, visitors, societies and our clubhouse. Gordon has impressive golf experience, with over 20+ years as a golf tour pro, and coach and from what we hear, he is great to pull a pint! So why not join Gordon in the clubhouse for a pint and a chat.

A Message from Gordon
“It is a privilege to be part of the golf operations team here at the Ross Golf Course. I have received a friendly club welcome since I started my position. I have over 20 years of experience as a tour pro and coach and a member of the World Golf Teaching Federation (WGTF). I have worked for some of Ireland’s leading golf management companies. I’ am thrilled to join the team and I look forward to meeting all our members, locals and international guests.” – Gordon Howard

Clubhouse Official Opening

We hope you are all aware by now that our clubhouse officially opened on the 16th of March. Members are welcome at any time to pop in and enjoy the facility. Gordon will be around the complex, perhaps you may find him in the clubhouse to discuss any tips or tricks that he may have that could help your next round of golf. We would kindly ask all members to please sign in via the clubhouse before going out to play a round of golf. This is for safety and membership reasons. We do hope all members enjoy the clubhouse and all that it has to offer.

Membership Update

Just to let all members know, we have extended our membership deadline to the 15th of Aprilwhich happens to be Good Friday. Please contact Pam in the office or Gordon if you need assistance, both would be happy to help.

We would like to note that after the deadline has passed, anyone who has not paid their fees will no longer have access to the membership benefits. You are more than welcome to come and play a round of golf availing of our green fee rates which can be found on our new website under ‘Green Fees & Memberships’.

We hope all members have received their new bag tag, if not, please notify a member of staff. Please note that it is important to have your golf tags with you on the course at all times and have them visible, please. Our lovely course ranger will be on patrol checking to see if the bag tags are present, thank you for your corporation and continuous support.

Tee boxes are in production

A big thank you to all our fantastic sponsors who have signed up. The tee boxes are now in production and we hope to have them displayed on the course over the coming weeks. They will be a fantastic addition to the course. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for the new signs.

Kind Regards,

The Ross Golf Team
